Custom Gem Smithing Recipes Don't Allow Non-Gem Items into Smithing Table Slot #61

Describe the Bug
Tried out making some custom recipes with a datapack, but the inputs I specify won't go in
Reproduction Steps
1.Make datapack recipe that doesn't use the MM gems, i.e. echo shard, potato, etc. stuff that doesn't already go in the table automatically
2.Attempt to do said recipe
3.Salami lid aint gonna fit like that
Expected Result
Items go in, enchanted item come out

Additional Context
Options for mod version and minecraft version aren't updated yet, but I'm on 1.20.1 with mod version 4.1.3
