Shared Counts Numbers Disappearing

Recently we've noticed the Shared Counts plugin is losing its numbers. Some articles aren't showing any share counts at all while others are missing several counts (one article in particular was showing 24k shares but is now showing only 2k). Is there a way to get the plugin counting correctly again?

Yep. I've been having this issue for about a year, unfortunately. Haven't found a solution yet. Can't tell if there's some behavior on my end that's causing it either.
