How to change image background with transparent color?

the default image is black when use this: $image = new PHPImage(400, 400);
is there any way to change to other color without edit PHPImage.php file?

you can do it manually using rectangle() method right after class init.

You can also try to use my fork of this library. There is such a possibility by default: https://github.com/antonlukin/poster-editor/blob/master/example/canvas.php
