Black beamer screen

Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.2

1. Connect to a beamer in some place
2. Power down the laptop and travel away
3. Connect a different beamer in a different place to the laptop
4. Power up the laptop
   Observation: The mint logo appears on the screen of the beamer
5. Log in
   Observation: The beamer screen turns black
   Take screenshot (the beamer screen on the screenshot isn't black)
6. Open the screen-configuration menu
7. Click to join the screens => Background pops up on the beamer-screen
   Beamer screen starts to work as expected.

Well, today I had the same issue. Linux Mint pops up on both screens. After logging in, the external screen is dark. Open the screen-configuration-menu. Click on join displays. Discard the setting. Both screens work as expected.
