Vertical, larger header cells #1

Any thoughts on beefing up the header cells for the table grid? I'm trying to conceptualize how I could turn the header cells on their side, with the text running vertically, so that it would be possible to have a longer name ... For example, I'm planning to use this as a spreadsheet grid for my gradebook app on GitHub. The header cells will list the assignment and due date, and the body cells will be each student's grade on that assignment.
The table grid itself looks frackin awesome. It's fast, easy to navigate. I love it. I'm just fishing for a little more juice on the headers and it'll be put to work in my project.
