Edit 2026.md for style and clarity #215

Description

There are a few small things in 2026.md that could be edited for style and clarity.

Style issues

  • The ordered list starting on line 115 is made up of full sentences, and one list item contains two sentences. Each line could be end with a period (currently no punctuation at the end).
  • Line 129: Text currently says "... - watch this space!” The hyphen is fine, but most style guides recommend that an em-dash would be better here.

Clarity issues

  • Line 103 (under "Submit your contribution") is self-referential. It implicitly directs people to the 2026.md file, which they're already reading. Could instead link to the contributions table at the end of the document.
  • The example table near the end of the document lists links to GitHub PRs, but line 103 seems to say that the contribution table is for contributions where there is no PR to make. This can be clarified.
  • Could use a subheading or similar to indicate that the example table starting on line 152 is for examples only. This is not currently clear at a glance, and readers may think that there are two contribution tables until they read the text closely.
