App is not working

It's just there in the dock, but it's doing nothing. My OS version is 12.7.6 (21H1320). It worked on the slighty older version of Monterey but when i upgraded to 12.7.6 it stopped. Please, i don't want to upgrade to a newer version of Mac OS.

Which app version are you on? I heard of issues with 1.8 on older OSes I cannot quite debug on my own. Try 1.7 and report back, please.

it's same. i also tried 1.5. strange that it worked fine on even older version of os. well, whatever. sorry for bugging you about this.

Was working a few days ago.

Upgraded to whatever the last point release of macOS was that shipped yesterday, stopped working.

Then I upgraded to 26 today, still not working.

So then I upgraded battery toolkit to 1.8 today, still doesn't work.

In the battery toolkit menu, settings is greyed out

optimized charging is set to "off"

Not sure what to do.

@SteveC Run uninstall.sh from the repo and then run Battery Toolkit again. This likely is one of Apple's daemon bugs.

@virtualdancer It doesn't matter from where you run the script. Simply download it from the repo, make it executable (chmod +x uninstall.sh) and then run it from anywhere (./uninstall.sh).

This uninstall / re-run worked for me, too. M2 Max, MacOS 26.0 Tahoe. Thanks Marvin. Really appreciate keeping this going.

Hi, tbh I am totally lost. I have the same issue as others above. Battery toolkit seems to have stopped working after the last os update I did. I don't understand how to run the script at all. Could you please instruct me as to what to do. All I have done is move battery toolkit to the trash and empty it. I don't get where to download the script or anything else. Im really sorry and thank you in advance.

download uninstall.sh from https://github.com/mhaeuser/Battery-Toolkit/blob/main/uninstall.sh - or copy paste data into newly created file by yourself.

Open terminal.
cd to the location where you created the file

then type
chmod +x uninstall.sh

Then
./uninstall.sh

That's all
