Is the microsoft edit icon not supposed to show on windows 10?

I opened Microsoft Edit on my Windows 10 PC, and when I did I didn't see the icon, I just saw the default app icon. Is this natural?

I suspect you have version 1.2.0. The only difference between 1.2.1 and 1.2.0 is that 1.2.1 contains the icon. It is not currently available via the Releases page on this repository.
