Repro Steps
Environment Details
OS Version: 24H2
OS Build: 27975.984
Application: React Native Gallery
Application Version: 2.0.8.0
AT: High Contrast
Pre-Requisite
Turn on High Contrast Theme [Settings >> Accessibility >> Contrast Theme]
Repro Steps
- Open the application and sign in with valid credentials.
- Navigate to 'TouchableHighlight' button and invoke it.
- Now observe the Counter text and number.
Actual Results
In the “A TouchableHighlight counter” section, the counter label and the displayed number are not visible when High Contrast Theme is enabled. Both the text and the numeric value blend into the background or appear too faint, resulting in poor readability and making it difficult for users to understand the counter status.
Expected Results
The counter text and number should remain clearly readable in High Contrast Theme with sufficient contrast against the background. Users should be able to easily identify the counter value and interact with the component.
User Impact
Users relying on High Contrast Mode may not be able to view the counter’s value or understand the current count. This impacts usability and may prevent users from interacting with or interpreting the component correctly.
MAS Reference
MAS 4.3.1 – No Disruption of Accessibility Features
