Environment Details

OS Version: 24H2
OS Build: 27975.984
Application: React Native Gallery
Application Version: 2.0.8.0
AT: Color Contrast

Repro Steps

  1. Open the application and sign in with valid credentials.
  2. Navigate to 'Button' button and invoke it.
  3. Now check the color contrast for 'Colored Button' and observe the issue.

Actual Results

The text on the ‘Colored Button’ has a color contrast ratio of 3.56:1, which is below the minimum required contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text. As a result, the button label appears low-contrast and difficult to read for many users.

Expected Results

The text on the ‘Colored Button’ should maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background to ensure readability for users with visual impairments or contrast sensitivity.

User Impact

Users with low vision, color blindness, or contrast sensitivity may struggle to read the button label, which can result in missed actions, confusion, or inability to operate the button effectively.
