Custom models do not appear in Language Model picker

In the Language Models panel, if I click "Add Models..." and "Foundry Local via AI Toolkit", none of my custom models become available. Is this intended?

Hi @edmcman, AI Toolkit currently only supports exposing Microsoft Foundry, Foundry Local and GitHub models to GitHub Copilot. For custom models, you may try use GitHub Copilot's bring your own keys feature

@a1exwang Thanks for the clarification. I was actually confused by some of Copilot's documentation:

Can I use locally hosted models with Copilot in VS Code?
You can use locally hosted models in chat by using bring your own model key (BYOK) and using a model provider that supports connecting to a local model. You have different options to connect to a local model:

Use a built-in model provider that supports local models
Install an extension from the Visual Studio Marketplace, for example, AI Toolkit for VS Code with Foundry Local

I will file an issue with them, but it would be nice if AI toolkit could make custom models available to copilot.
