WSLg fails to shown GUI in Windows (6.12.x / 6.17.x / 6.18.x kernels)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install custom linux kernel via this link.
2. Set custom kernel bzImage in .wslconfig.
3. Run WSL2 linux environment.
4. Execute gedit or other linux GUI apps.

WSL dumps:

No response

Expected behavior:

• Linux GUI applications shown and can use it in Windows environment.

Actual behavior:

• Linux GUI applications not shown in Windows.
• Remote Desktop icon is displayed in windows, but no GUI screen.

• wsl --shutdown commands takes longer to complete.

I'm reporting this issue because I believe it will need to be addressed when supporting higher version of the kernel in the future.

I'm also providing the commit that caused the issue.
