Fix Typos in Code and Documentation

There are some typos in comments, docstrings, and Markdown files throughout the repository. We have rushed our way to merge the basic functionality and we have ignored the failing linting jobs. Cleaning up these issues will improve readability.

Details

We should:

• re-run our spell check job on Markdown files and Python comments/docstrings.
• Fix typos, incorrect punctuation, or minor formatting errors.
• Make sure fixes are scoped (i.e., avoid unnecessary refactoring in the same PR).

Even small fixes are highly appreciated!
