Code license?

Hello,

I have found this code to be amazingly useful during troubleshooting, however I am wondering if the use-case can be expanded.

My interest is mostly in creating easier ways to patch Linux-based systems (especially due to CVEs) where the code being patched is small i.e. micropatching. There are heavier frameworks based on linkers but this code seems to
be useful for individual applications to develop their own mechanism to load small patches.

Considering the code is organized as a library, can it be licensed using an open source license?
