Suggestion: Improve build speed / stability (maybe consider a lean builder?)

Context

Thanks a lot for the awesome work on solid 🙏
I’ve been using solid_generator with the watch option as recommended.
Even on a small project, it rebuilds on every little change — and sometimes gets a bit unstable 😅
It makes the dev loop feel a bit heavy at times.

From what I saw, solid_generator relies on build_runner under the hood, so maybe it’s just a limitation there.
Still, since speed is one of solid’s strong points, I thought it might be worth exploring if there’s a lighter approach someday.

Idea

What do you think about something like a lean builder style approach?
Basically, reducing unnecessary rebuilds and keeping things snappy — kind of a simplified and faster build system for Dart.
Just an idea, but it might fit nicely with solid’s focus on performance and simplicity 🚀

Thanks for your suggestion! Are you referring to lean_builder?

Consider that the current version of the generator is mostly an experiment, I wanted to see if it was feasible and I mostly used claude to write the code.
Now that I know it is feasible, I can rewrite it from scratch and make it performant and less error-prone.

I also saw https://x.com/schultek_dev/status/1982124227521032264, which uses the new analysis_server_plugin which seems interesting, but probably not very performant cause it runs in a single isolate.

Yes, lean_builder was what I had in mind.
The idea of rebuilding it from scratch sounds awesome — especially if it can avoid some of the instability of build_runner.
