[Enhancement] Encryption: Should it be a feature of smartconf or left to each individual source?

Some configuration frameworks allow encryption of certain fields (like passwords) although TBH if the executable is able to decrypt the field it's probably not too secure if an attacker has access to the exe.

Maybe this is something we should include as a feature of smartconf or maybe it's best left to the individual source.
