standardize NonNull annotations

We should have a team discussion around what NonNull annotation we use. Personally I'd prefer to use, javax.annotation instead of androidx.annotation.NonNull. You can do some research on your own, but a good starting point is this. Once we decide on a standard, we should update our imports to match.
