Arroyo del Val I - VI and Manchones I - II are close and in the same level. At least that is what I have been told. I have been there, but following indications, I have searched AR IV, but did not find it. In the data base, some sites are indicated as of MN6 and others of MN6 - 7+8. These sites have traditionally been seen as MN6 (Mein, 1975, 1977; De Bruijn et al., 1992). However, magnetostratigraphy indicates a younger age than Steinheim, which was reference locality of MN7. Arroyo del Val / Manchones have, I think, 4 species of bovids and this is a high diversity for MN6 in Western Europe. Perhaps also the Euprox is an indication of a younger MN unit (as it is present in Steinheim and not in Sansan).
