For those who don't know windows to go was a feature available since windows 8, but now unmaintained outside of win11 enterprise that would allow the flashing of a windows environment into a drive instead of the installer, creating what's effectively a live system, similar to Linux. The live system generally has no update support and would require to be completely reinstalled every time (like tiny11core and nano11)
Nowadays even though Microsoft stopped supporting this feature for most editions Rufus is still allowing flashing WTG drives and they generally work.
What I am yet to find an answer to is if modified images work with WTG and if they do would this have the benefit of a streamlined system that would work on potentially weaker drives (and if anyone know an answer for nano11 as well it would be nice but i have no expectation of this since this is a different repo)
thanks in advance
