Volume adjustment issues on win11

Describe the bug:

Recently built a new PC that is on Win11. I am seeing a significant issue with the volume controls, both sliders and knobs that was not present on my old Win10 machine. All volume controls now seem to have a very noticeable delayed response to adjustment, talking 3-5 seconds. This is not application specific, Discord, Spotify, Main volume controls. All now have a noticeable delay. I believe there is something that may be interfering with the PC Panel software that is causing the delay but I do not know where to look or where to begin troubleshooting. I have no other audio software installed or running outside of the Realtek Audio Service which is really just the drivers for the sound card.

Steps to reproduce:

Making volume adjustment to knob or sliders and there is a 3-5 second delay before the application volume is affected.

Expected behavior:

Volume changes should be pretty immediate and smooth, which is how they worked on win10.

I've been running Windows 11 myself for a long while and haven't had any issues. A few things to check:

• If you are using OBS, OSC or MQTT, could you try turning those off (if they are off, you could try to turn it on, then off again). It could be that the software is trying to update one of those and has to wait for a timeout before actually setting the volume.
• Is there a value in the Settings > Faulty hardware workaround > Slider value rolling average over x ms option? It could trigger this. This setting should usually be empty (as should the other settings on that page).

If neither helps:

• Is the delay also visible in the UI?
• Does the delay also happen with the official software? (if not, it might be a hardware/driver issue)

I checked the settings in Faulty Hardware Workarounds, all of them were empty, but the bottom checkbox was marked "Only apply these fixes to sliders". Unchecking that setting seems to have fixed the issue. Not sure how that got checked as I don't think I have ever been into the settings menu before. Sliders are all working how they should now.

I ran into the issue again, even with that settings option unchecked. Issue seems to only be present when World of Warcraft program is running and I am using my headphones. I had a slider assigned to Wow which I thought may have caused it. Removed that assignment and restarted the computer. Sliders all work normally but once WOW is running then the issue starts. I keep Spotify running as background music and this is primarily where I see the issue but it affects all application sliders. The main device volume slider works as normal, it's only sliders assigned to applications. Once the WOW app is full screen the slider delay starts occurring. I also found that this issue also only happens when using my Razer Blackshark V2 Pro headphones, which are a wireless headphone using a usb dongle. I have tried it with both Razer Synapse running and disabled as I figured it may be a Synapse issue, since it usually is. Issue persists even with no razer software running. Swapping default audio devices with the applications running, the sliders work with my externals speakers but are delayed with the headphones.

Answering some of your original questions

1. No OBS, OSC or MQTT running on this machine
2. Faulty hardware workaround settings are all blank and checkbox is empty
3. The delay is not visible in the UI
4. Tested it with the Official software and issue is present.
