nomethod error with "render :index"

i get the following error if i call the template of an another action with just a symbol:

```
undefined method `size' for :index:Symbol
 /opt/ruby-enterprise-1.8.7-2009.10/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/template_streaming-0.1.0/lib/template_streaming.rb:42:in `render'
```
