Tracking issue for architecture and library usage

In general we should use or improve on what is being used in the orcasite repo

some ideas:

• xstate
• material-ui
• styled-components?

I would like to work on this issue. I personally feel material-ui would be a great choice considering that they have a really good support for themeing, components, stylings etc. I have a brief about the same in the slack channel under #orcamap-react

Seeing as we will integrate the Orca Map into the main site, we may not need a full blown UI framework. Anyone available to look into what the main site is using and how we would best integrate the map?
