Last month we heard Dr Giacomo Bertazzoli
<https://www.tmslab.org/aboutus-fellows-bertazzoli.php> talk about the
future: how non-invasive brain imaging studies will (very soon!) be
expected (even required?) to organise and share their data using the BIDS
standards. If you still don't know about BIDS, please check it out.
Electromyography (EMG) is now a part of BIDS (since December 2025), and
Bertazzoli and team hope that NIBS-BIDS
<https://github.com/nigelrogasch/nibs-bids/tree/master/nibs-bids-v6> will
be 'merged' (a github term) very soon - this year..?
------------------------------
Next month, I am filling the meeting slot by re-presenting some data I
shared at the Neuromodulation workshop in Nottingham last month. I will
re-package this talk to propose the following hypothesis for Discussion:
*"Dose-response curves provide a 'ground truth' for testing theories and
methods in TMS research"*
Now if that doesn't encourage you to stay indoors on a cold, wet Friday
afternoon with headphones, sweeties and a blanket, then I'm all out of
ideas.
------------------------------
On being out of ideas: I've not had any volunteers for presenting future
talks. April and beyond are empty, so please volunteer yourself - an
excellent opportunity to put another line on your CV, and share some ideas,
data, or lead a discussion in a friendly space. Alternatively, volunteer a
colleague as an act of generosity to improve their CV :-)
See you soon!
Nick
