Docker?

I'm also trying to use this, but heroku didn't work and adding my card to it made me anxious because I really don't have money.
So I turned to docker as I saw that's what you said you used but I have no idea what I'm doing. How do I get this up and running? Thanks.

I apologize for getting to you so late, I've been a bit busy lately.

First run the following command to build the docker image from the main branch of the repo. This creates an image called padlocks/compatiplural with a tagged version v1.1.3.
docker build https://github.com/padlocks/Compatiplural.git -t padlocks/compatiplural:v1.1.3

Fill out your .env file according to the table on the README.md ensure the .env file is in the same directory as your terminal. Secondly, make sure you remove the quotation marks from the .env file as well (e.g. socket=wss://api.apparyllis.com/v1/socket)

Next, to run the built docker image with your .env file in the environment path:
docker run --name compatiplural --restart=unless-stopped --env-file .env -d padlocks/compatiplural:v1.1.3
