As an idea for a feature, it'd be good for HTML::Lint to report an unclosed comment, ie. still open at end of file. I struck this where a mistaken comment end meant all the document from there onwards was commented-out (the mistake depended on the tightness or looseness of the browser actually).
Currently with HTML::Lint an unclosed comment also means other unclosed elements such as SPAN or DIV are not reported, where I think they should be. An unclosed BODY is not reported either, but is that one semi-deliberate? I think it could be reported.
I had a vague idea some of the sgml/html rules for "--" inside a comment were slightly bizarre. Maybe HTML::Lint could say something about that too.
