Many multiple scrobbles if notification stays around

I posted this in a Google Play review, but this may be a better place to post bugs:

Issue:
 If a player notification stays in the notification drawer for any length of time, the track will scrobble many (hundreds of) times, even if the track has stopped playing. This is happening when scrobbling from the SiriusXM app, it may happen with other players, I'm not sure.
