Hi Philipp, just wanted to drop by and say this is a pretty enlightening post about peer pairing. There are a lot of aspects you expose that strike a chord, and yet were not things that I had consciously noticed. Your bit about sessions turning into monologues due to the possessing an equal level of proficiency in the challenge has proven to be pretty true in a few of my experiences! It's a tough rut to get out of, especially when the driver-navigator roles tend to apply to pairs where one has a stronger competency than the other! The last bit I want to mention is that, for what it is worth, my experience in our pairing session was truly the opposite of whomever had written the feedback you allude to in your post. The topic of recursion is something I am determined to understand after our talk! Here's to better pairing sessions. Cheers, Philipp!
