eth_sendTransaction calls failing with Polygon

On the Polygon side of things, noticed standard JSON-RPC eth_sendTransaction calls are failing e.g

With Ethereum, the same calls are working fine. Tried with and without EIP-1559 params.

This is an example of a working Ethereum call:

Nothing that:

• On the Ethereum side of things, it works both with/out undefined gasPrice
• On the Polygon side of things, it throws without gasPrice - with undefined gasPrice however, it does yield a txId back, but never broadcasts the Tx

Steps to Reproduce

• Build a standard eth_sendTransaction Tx with Polygon 137 chainId
• Notice the Tx sign and broadcast window pops up
• Notice it either fails on broacast, or yields a Txid back, but doesn't broadcast
• Do the same for Ethereum and notice is signs and broadcast fine

Also note the behaviour above is non-deterministic - for the same params, I can sometimes get timeouts, throws, or a returned Txid back, the only constant being it never broadcasts.
