Release in PyPi

Hey guys, I see here contributions for python 3, is there a release in PyPi? Original repo is not working with python 3

There is currently no release for python 3, as this was never intended to be a full fork. But given the original project appears to not have any activity perhaps this might be a good option. @jparise thoughts?

In the mean time you can always install this copy via https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/topics/vcs-support/.

Ideally, the original author would be open to incorporating our updates or transferring ownership of the (PyPI) project to us. I don't know if it would be that helpful to publish a forked version of this package under a new name.

I admittedly haven't looked at this package in a while, so I'm also not sure how it compares to url-normalize (or other similar projects). It's possible there might be a "better" package out there, and urlnorm should just be deprecated.

Let’s see if the original author can help, not sure if can be mentioned here, @jehiah? Should be able to reach him by email jehiah@gmail.com. You guys should take over the PyPI project if original author doesn’t manage it anymore.
