Source navigation jumps #3

A suggestion from Shakil Ahmed:
Is it possible to add source navigation like jumping to source and files? Maybe I am wrong but, with cmake based projects I think after configuration generation, it's possible to navigate the source i.e. no need to build the whole project. So generated configuration can be shipped along a project and use that. Sorry, does that involve LSP too to run in the background? Or any other dependency? That surely will complicate things.
I assume they mean like in the Android Code Search app which I have a very good experience from as well
