Can you do that? I didn't think Drupal allows that.

Really? I could have sworn Ive had modules come with administer permissions on.. (for the administrator) though after seeing what the query looks like, thats probably not that easy to do. It pretty much queries for the old perms and updates it with the new ones. and its just one long list of strings, all concatenated together per role. whether or not its frowned upon is another matter. Though I also noticed that its stored by role_id, which I dont think is a static thing, i.e. my admin account that Im using on this site is RID 8... though that could be queried for as well.
