We could do the per arch binaries. I looked into cosmo but it wasn't straightforward to integrate from CMake, has that changed?

IMHO those interested in that can make a debug build themselves, but I would't oppose making debug builds available if there is more general interest. Any thoughts @bnoordhuis ?

Sure, as long as it's very clear what the debug binaries are, and what the release binaries are.

Another possibility is enabling opcode printing in the release binaries.
