Contact sensor does not seem to work when auto-lock is enabled.

When I use the august app to enable auto-lock, the contact sensor does not seem to work.
I get a little "cloud with a line through it" icon when I open the contact sensor in the app.
When I look on the website, it shows: "contact: closed", and that the device is online.. it seems that only the app is wonky?
