Description
Turning off (set to false) the Raspberry core audaki cart engine on the server and in user client fixed it for now, but a look at the audaki mod by itself on curseforge, the audaki mod seems to work without these bugs in similar circumstances, so something of the changes that were implemented in Raspberry Flavored broke minecarts entirely. They are unusable outside of completely straight lines. The bugs are not present when the minecart is unoccupied. Did not test with chest variants or any of the other variants, only occupied simple minecarts.
Bugs that are easily reproduceable:
Any entity, say chicken or player is in cart:
-At any speed higher than default (8m/s), curves can often result in either flinging off the curve and off of the track itself. If there is a block near the curve, sometimes instead of simply slowing the cart, it will instantly halt the cart, destroying all momentum. Attempting to create a more gentle curve by making a diagonal does not amend the issue and still often results in flinging.
-Hold forward or back changes the behavior
-Going up any incline will seemingly at-random sometimes send you full speed backwards. Couldn't figure out the consistency of the bug, but it has to do with powered rails and changing slopes, happened the most at the apex of a slope.
-Occasionally, the cart will also go off the tracks completely while going straight when hitting a downwards incline, even at lower speeds that are above vanilla max speed (8m/s)
Discovered by multiple people in a survival multiplayer server. Tested by multiple people in single player. One of my buddies downloaded a fresh install of Raspberry Flavored who is unaffiliated with the rest just to test it himself in case there was some other issue and discovered the findings to be true as well.
If this is, for some reason, intended behavior, there needs to be a comprehensive guide somewhere on how to deal with the changes, because this makes minecarts virtually useless for transportation in the current iteration, which is quite frustrating when it seems that the idea of making the rails cheaper to produce, a good early option, even being efficient later on due to the high speed and low cost.
