[Feature request] [UX/Performance] Load Markdown images asynchronously #1634
Description
Hi,
When opening a README, especially one of those with a ton of these Shields.io badges, the display of the main attachments like an app's homepage or demo GIF will take a while, and the loading of footer images like supporters and star history will take eternity.
The reason is attachments are fetched sequentially, one after the other.
It would be nice to have them loading in parallel instead.
Additionally, it would be nice to be able to open images in-app rather than having to open them in browser.
