R programme aborts when I start running a script referring to library(cyclotomic).

Hmm strange. Is it systematic? Does it also happen when you load the package outside RStudio?

Below reply to your questions :
It happens systematically in Rstudio, I tried yesterday to load the package several times, including another attempt that failed this morning.
I now also tried to load the package in R, outside R studio, and the screen disappeared (ie the programme aborted…)
Note : the installation of the programme was however marked as successfully.

Weird. Which version of R are you using? The package has only been tested on 4.3.0 and devel.

I 'm indeed working with Microsoft Windows (10).
I uninstalled and reinstalled the package cyclotomic several times, always mentioning successfully unpacked.
However, the programme aborts executing the command library(cyclomotic) as indicated in the figure above.
It is the first time that I encounter such failure with an R package, and I'm using R already since 2012.
For the rest my R programme is running normally with other packages and I've a lot of them installed.

I understand, but I don't see what you could do. This package has a onLoad script:

.onLoad <- function(libname, pkgname) {
  extraneousPowers     <<- memoise::memoise(extraneousPowers)
  phiNrpSqfree         <<- memoise::memoise(phiNrpSqfree)
  squareFreeOddFactors <<- memoise::memoise(squareFreeOddFactors)
}

Could it be related ? Can you load the memoise package?

I can load the memoise package and I tested this package succesfully with an example.
So the mystery remains : today again an abort at the occasion of loading cyclotomic package.
