ncp is buggy and unmaintained, blocker in development

There is a bug in one of the dependencies, ncp: AvianFlu/ncp#71

This bug is causing a problem for one of the feature developments in LB+BM integration.

There is an open PR which fixes it: AvianFlu/ncp#94

But the developer hasn't landed it yet even after two years. The project looks pretty abandoned. We should replace ncp with something else, if anyone has an objection, do let me know.
