I’ve figured out why I wasn’t seeing the temperature updates for my pool body on the "Dashboard". It turns out that the "Pool Circuit (AC)" needs to be turned on for the pool body (ID 1) to be active and for the temperature to update. In my setup, the Main Pump can be running, but if the "Pool Circuit (AC)" virtual circuit is off, the pool body shows "isOn": false in poolState.json, and the temperature doesn’t update on the "Dashboard" (it’s grayed out or stale). To resolve this, I understand that I need to ensure the "Pool Circuit (AC)" virtual circuit is turned on whenever any feature, circuit, or schedule activates the Main Pump. For example, I’ve created a Circuit Group ("Quick Clean (CG)") that includes both the pump feature ("Full Speed (F)") and the ""Pool Circuit (AC)" virtual circuit, which works, but I need to do this for every feature or schedule that controls the pump. Maybe I’m missing a concept here, but if not, I’d like to propose adding a feature to njsPC that could make this process more seamless, so the pool body is automatically active whenever the pump is running. |

I have two temperature sensors set up on a Sequent Microsystems Mega-BAS HAT: one for air and one for pool water. The air sensor is reporting correctly as "Air Temp" on the "Dashboard" (76.7°F), but the "Pool Temp" shows 0.0°F, even though the sensors are reporting data in the "Sensor Calibration" tab (76.87°F for pool water). I’m unsure if I’m approaching the setup correctly and believe I have a fundamental gap in my understanding. I’m not sure if the feeds should be set on the Mega-BAS HAT or in the "Generic Devices" section. Since the temperatures are visible in the "Sensor Calibration" tab even with the "Generic Devices" feeds not active, I assume they aren’t needed, but I might be missing a key step.
Screenshots:
Mega-BAS HAT Configuration (showing "Air" and "Pool" feeds)
Generic Devices Configuration (showing feeds for "Air" and "Pool")
Sensor Calibration Tab (showing correct temperatures)
Dashboard (showing "Pool Temp" as 0.0°F)
Bodies Tab (no "Temperature Sensors" section)
Questions:
How do I get the "Pool Temp" on the "Dashboard" to show the correct temperature (76.87°F) from the pool sensor?
Should the feeds be set on the Mega-BAS HAT, in the "Generic Devices" section, or both? If not needed in "Generic Devices," what step am I missing to link the sensor data to the "Dashboard"?
