Description
In the README the order of including the library (-lperf) should be at the end. It appears using the development instructions for linking the libraries does not otherwise work, as the scan order of the linker is not resolving the symbols in -lperf when specified beforehand.
Change:
gcc -I/usr/local/include/perf -I/usr/local/lib/perf/include -L/usr/local/lib -lperf example.c
To the correct form:
gcc -I/usr/local/include/perf -I/usr/local/lib/perf/include -L/usr/local/lib example.c -lperf
Tested on my ubuntu 18.04 machine.
