Cannot use german umlauts

I installed neophyte via cargo install in win11. When editing I cannot use umlauts and a few other special keys. They keypresses just do nothing.

Thank you for the report. It may be that I need to add support for winit's IME stuff. In the meantime, you probably want to use Neovide, which I know has that functionality.

Has there been any progress on this issue? I've also encountered the same problem

No, there has not. I recommend Neovide at the moment, which does support IME input.
