products suddenly disappear, manual select function problems, more #94

- latest Topspin plugin
my client added products to topspin but had trouble pulling newest products in. after synching several times, they still didnt appear in the store pages. it wasnt until i randomly played around with the sort by setting, then resaved that the latest products appeared.
an hour later, the store setting selections wouldnt appear (the dropdown wouldnt dropdown - possible js issue?)
after messing around ( forgot the steps ) they appeared and things were running ok until today when the latest products disappeared altogether.
again, i had to reset the sort by selection, resave, for the products to appear.
