Describe the bug

Here is a clear and concise description of what the problem is:

The HEIF image decoder addon displays blank images for the HEIC photos I take on my iPhone 13 Pro. It also displays blank images for HEIC files I save in Paint. The placeholders are blank in Wall view, and nothing is shown when I click on a thumbnail to view the image.

Expected Behavior

Here is a clear and concise description of what was expected to happen:

The images should be visible.

Actual Behavior

Images are not shown.

Possible Fix

No idea.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add some HEIC files to your Pictures.
2. Make sure the HEIF addon is loaded.
3. Try to view the HEIC files.

Thanks. I cannot reproduce, but I'm in a different environment, in particular I'm on linux, but it's using the same libheif and the same libde256 version so it really should be quite similar. Will need a windows dev I'm afraid.

For v22 I've prepared xbmc/xbmc#27141 which should make things a lot easier on all parts, and your files works with the ffmpeg decoder. Obviously does not help you right now, but as a FYI.

Thanks. I repro'd it on Android FWIW, specifically Kodi running as a native app on my Sony A80J, updated recently to Android 12. I will try to look at those logs this weekend and get back.

The Android logs are the same as the Windows logs WRT this issue.

Tested the Windows version. It works!
