Cannot upgrade Android devices to 1.16.0 beta

Made two attempts:

1. The ”upgrade" option spins but has no effect...

2. Uninstalled, restarted, then reinstalled (as it says it's the beta)...

... Result in both: still in 1.15.0 with "upgrade to 1.16.0" visible.

Please advise and I will try again.

Did you install from the Play Store? The upgrade button isn't supposed to be visible in that version.

FYI... I found the 1.16.0 apk, uninstalled 1.15.0, installed 1.16.0, and it works.

PS: I still see JSON log reference... Is that the download format from the internal database?

The database is just a backend thing right now. The data export is still in JSON format.

PS: Everything I was doing earlier was on my new Android tablet. I was quite sure that I used the Google Play Store to install 1.15.0 on my Android phone and the "update” button was there. I just confirmed this since I had uninstalled it to upgrade to 1.16.0, so I reinstalled 1.15.0 from the Google Play Store, saw the upgrade button, downloaded the 1.16.0 APK on the phone, and then installed it successfully. Thanks again. FYI, I am going to do some tests of our connection without the band pass filters that lock our connection on 5g band N71. I read that T-Mobile did some network and tower improvements in our area and would love to get a robust connection with more throughout. Ed G.

I am having the same issue. The app indicates that there is an update. I click on the update and nothing happens. Play store shows no updates at all. After uninstall and reinstall still not on the newest version. Can somebody please provide a solution?
On a side note, my Gateway and, therefore, my network and phone suffered an ARP attack. Metro does not care. I believe someone got into my Metro account, used the serial number for the Gateway WHICH IS THE MAC ADDRESS FOR THE GATEWAY, and then created access points with duplicate mac addresses on different channels.
IS THERE ANY WAY TO RANDOMIZE, SPOOF, OR CHANGE the MAC address of the Gateway?
I am ready to leave Metro because of their clear negligence in that they do not allow users to control their own network and that they lied about a breach. I can get no answers as to why I am no longer broadcasting the 4G signal on my Gateway or as to why the serial number is the MAC address.
Reminds me of college at where our student ID was our initials and the LAST FIVE DIGITS OF OUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS. This was in 1995, continued through 98, and most likely much longer. Ahhh. Memories.

I love this app though. Metro tried to blame my piece of garbage malfunctioning Gateway on my use of a third party app, Hint control, to try to minimize and deny their negligence. Just an FYI.
