Deciding how to order functions and where to place things was initially challenging. The modal functionality is not completely right, and I suspect it has to do with the element binding, since that was an issue in getting the pop up to turn on, but toggling it off is not working. The click on #application was not initiating render.
Otherwise, the rest of the functionality is working. I began making a delete function, but after realizing how difficult the modal was proving to be, I focused efforts toward that.
