Slash Star is a small, independent project exploring clothing inspired by real code — syntax, patterns, tools, and ideas developers work with every day.
This repository doesn’t contain application code. Instead, it documents the thinking, design approach, and context behind the project.
Slash Star focuses on minimal, wearable developer T-shirts designed to feel at home both at a desk and away from it. The aim is subtlety rather than slogans — designs that reference code without needing to explain themselves.
The project is built around:
- real programming languages and concepts
- light mode / dark mode as a design idea, not a gimmick
- treating code as a visual language
A lot of developer merchandise is intentionally loud or joke-driven. That works for some people, but it’s not what I wanted to wear day-to-day.
Slash Star started as a personal side project to see if code-inspired clothing could be:
- quieter
- more considered
- genuinely wearable
This repository is used for:
- project notes and documentation
- design and naming context
- references that inform the visual direction
Working files, experiments, and internal drafts live elsewhere.
