Foodsy is an application that will revolutionize the way you do meal prep and figure out what to eat. Foodsy is an application that allows you to maintain a list of ingredients you have and then use the recipe search feature to search for a recipe that you can make with the ingredients you have (amongst other filters). It also has a shopping list feature that allows you to search for ingredients and add them to your shopping list. In addition, you can search for grocery stores right from the App so you are ready to go. We also allow users to favorite recipes to make it easier to make their go-to comfort food.
The following is required functionality:
- Fridge ingredient list view
- Add Ingredient view with ingredients to choose from
- Shopping list
- Ingrediuent view wired in
- Recipe search view
- Search filters
- Auto search on existing inventory
- Cuisine
- Meal (like breakfast/lunch/dinner etc)
- Search filters
- Map view for stores
- Search bar to search for stuff
- Pins should deep link to Google Maps
- Add alerts on ingredients based on timeline
- Favorite recipes view
- User Profile
The following are stretch features are implemented:
- Click photo(or barcode) to add ingredient
- Push Notifications for when you are near a grocery store to buy stuff
- Notifications for when your food might be going bad
- Suggest recipes (w/ additional ingredients you may not have) in push notification
