Django tutorial project

My realisation of tutorial project has some features:

  • I used PostgreSQL as db-driver
  • Made a wider test module
  • Wrap project into docker-compose
  • Added new run-command "ensure_adminuser": gives opportunity to avoid user creation error "CommandError: Error: That username is already taken.". Before creation, it checks of exists given username. Mostly was useful in tests in docker-compose multiple running way, cause all environment variables were set up in config/.env.prod file.

Setup and run:

  • clone repository on your local machine: git clone https://github.com/Ilnur786/django-tutorial.git
  • install libs from requirements.txt: python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
  • set environ variables from config/.env.prod or change DATABASE section's fields in mysite/mysite/settings.py
  • open mysite directory
  • run: python manage.py migrate
  • run: python manage.py createsuperuser
  • run: python manage.py runserver
