В архивах файлы с одинаковыми именами в разных регистрах, поэтому тесты под виндой не работают :)

Лучше было проверять по расширению, а ловить исключение только в том случае, если файл .zip, но zip-архивом не является. При корректной работе программы исключения вообще не должны кидаться, а мне кажется, иметь в папке не только zip-архивы вполне ожидаемо.
