I'm excited that I get to use the ProPublica API to fetch real data on congress members and bills as well as the Google Civic API to determine a user's congressional district.

Optimizations

Current Projects: Implementing infinite scrolling through "New Bills" and "Hot Posts." Allowing people to make it public that they voted on a particular bill. Notifications for when your representative votes on a bill you've voted on.

Lessons Learned:

I'm learning so much about the American political system. I've gone much more in depth about how bills become laws. My knowledge of MVC is being stretched by complex requests that involve reaching out to multiple 3rd party APIs.
