+\- **We built R2USD to combine real-world yield from tradefi with the transparency, efficiency, and global accessibility of DeFi. Our goal is to offer users a permissionless yield medium that is simple, composable, and globally available.**

+**R2USD is backed by tokenized real-world assets from licensed issuers across multiple regions, including Superstate and Ondo (US), Digift (Singapore), Spiko and Fasanara (Europe), and Mercado Bitcoin (LatAm), we are now the official LPs of Superstate, Ondo and DigiFT, in the process of onboarding others.**

+\- Yield bearing stablecoins lack strong fundamentals, with potential loss of value under market scrutiny. Onchain RWAs can be the collateral needed for stable coins. However, they are in the hands of a few players and KYB barriers are high on time and money, creating a friction to RWA exposure in a massive way.

+\- R2USD solves by collateraling its pegged to Institutional grade tokenized RWAs. R2 diversified financial risk via asset diversification and curation in their own basket strategies. Yield is sourced from these strategies (5-10% pure RWA yield) and obtained by staking R2USD. Reaching both institutional and retail investors, sR2USD is a composable LST that allows bridging real sourced yield into DeFi native environments such as Lending or DEX protocols for yield boost. Yield is later on obtained through yield distribution and redemption mechanism set by R2.

+For a yield bearing stablecoin, the targeted problems are mapping risks, selecting the right collateral type, sourcing the yield, and distributing the yield to users, while maintaining the peg value against the risks associated with the product composition of the stablecoin itself. The strategy on each will be tailored to retail or institutions, but it falls into one or the other. We saw a lack of a fundamental standard for yield bearing stablecoins

+* Direct competitors are other yield bearing stablecoins: DeFi Native (OUSD, CAP), RWA Backed (USDY, USDM), Synthetic/Algorithmic (USDe, USDf). While indirect competitors monetize on demand and transaction fees: Fiat Backed (USDC, USDT). We don't count crypto collateralized stables as competitors due to the high volatility on the underlying assets plus no APY.  
+* Through R2USD we cover 3 main risk kinds common among the yield bearing classes: issuer risk (interest rate fluctuations, USDM and USDY), smart contract risk (platform dependency, OUSD), and Depeg Risk (Loss of Confidence, USDe and USDf). We distribute issuer risk through diversifying onchain tokenized RWA strategies (T-Bills, MMFs, Private Credit/Loans), smart contract risk through having a fundamental yield purely on RWA assets (5-10% APY) and tapping into different DeFi strategies on top of fundamentals (Morpho, Pendle, Curve, Aave, etc), and depegging risk by adjusting RWA vaults based on sharp ratios, APY, and user demand (financial and legal engineering)
